Who We Are

Friends and long-time business partners SASHA HARBRECHT and LAURA SMITH unwrapped Paper Twist in August 2008. Sharing a love of fine papers and pretty things, Sasha and Laura researched and sourced all of their favorite gift wrap, stationery, fine pens and office accessories to create their new retail venture. With an eye to detail and organization, they craved a collection of office accessories and tools that were not brown, presented materials in a seamless fashion and were fun. They also yearned for a vast selection of fine ribbons, quality gift wrap and a place that would always be ready for a staff member or customer to wrap a gift (and the wrapping bar was born). Sasha and Laura believe giving a beautiful present doesn’t have to be complicated. They will be teaching others how to wrap beautiful gifts and for those that would rather leave it to the experts – they are happy to oblige. Sasha and Laura have a wicked sense of humor and hope to bring a fresh perspective to retail – they believe that if gifting was a competition – you’d win with Paper Twist.
